IT'S FINALLY OVER!

Like... oh yeah~ oh yeah~

Stress to the max for the past weeks, was on the verge of sanity.

And now it's finally over... hmmm... but I feel a bit emotionless. :o Probably because the last paper was the one I had the least confident in. Let's hope for the best and prepare for the worst, may the examiner be lenient and let me pass! *Pray to every single God out there even thought I don't think it work that way* lol.

Well, I should probably embark on the long list of things I was preparing to day after being freed.
And it's probably to... CUT MY HAIR. I look like a mop right now, recalling that day when my mum took a glance at my hair and randomly said...
"Girl ah, 等你考完试后, 我们去Malaysia 剪头发,ok?"
Oh, and that day when my mum took the vintage radio out, I wanted to adjust the antenna to source for the frequency. Forgetting that the top part was broken, I pulled the whole thing out. -..-'' I turned to look at my mother, dumbfounded and we both started laughing.

Alright! Time for my well-needed rest. HALLELUJAH!!

Blehhhhhhh

Last 2 days and I still don't feel prepared enough.

My mum dug out our super old ancient vintage radio today because the current stereo system, or whatever you call that, the antenna wasn't working well.

And HUALA, the vintage radio was still working and wowowowow, the antenna was superb.
Once upon a time, when products were of durability and quality... Now it's like cheap, cheap and CHEAP. Not a bad thing either but it's not really environmental-friendly eh?

Blah day

So, 2 more papers to go and I can go havoc around... MUAHAHAHA!

Recalling that day when I was giving tuition to the older sister and the mei-mei was eating her fried fish and rice. After struggling with her meal for about 10 mins, she finally announced, "I don't want to eat liao. I'll eat the fish and leave the rice alone, ok?"

I replied, "aiyoh! You never eat your rice clean clean, later your future husband will have a lot of pimples." XD

She said, "Why do you still believe in old folktales?"

I stated, as a matter of fact, "At least, it doesn't make me waste food, right?"

And so, she carried on eating...

Few minutes later, she exclaimed, "I'm not eating the fish but I'll eat the rice, ok?"

LOLOLOL DAMN TROLL.

Then I shouted back, "Huh?!?! Later your husband will smell like fish!"

TROLL X2

Anyway, heard this song (actually, only two lines) on OKTO. It used to be called kid central, I'm still young at heart yo.

~ He's my best friend, best of all best friend. Do you have a best friend too? ~

It's nice, the tune sounds quite similar to Tarzan and Jane song.

I was watching the lyric video and the only best friend I could think of was... GUMMY BEAR!
~He's so yummy yummy! lol. sad lonely life.

Anyway, the girl in the official video is trying to keep girls away from her best friend by... shooting arrows at their butt? throwing explosive at them?? cutting their ponytail???

At the end, they fought each other with a lightsaber, turned into two fur balls and danced together.

May the knowledge and common sense be with you!

I had my first paper today, Intro to Economics... which doesn't seem to be only an INTRO.
My answer seems logical and I also managed to finish the questions. But, the answers can be so subjective! What's more, they don't allow us to bring the question paper back. :( I was hesitating between question 1 and 2 but I went with 2 in the end. Now, I'm regretting if I should have done question 1 instead, probably stand a higher chance (was able to do the first part and the second part seems ok too). Then again, I may not be sure of my answers too and I can't recall what's question 1 about.

I know, I know, no point crying over spilt milk...

BUT

same old quote: EASIER SAID THAN DONE. >.<

I think it's like some women's nature to overthink? I tend to do that at the extreme end that but I'll forget about it soon, like real soon, just not now. LOL.

Anyway, I should probably study for my upcoming exams instead. At least, I still have a chance to do well.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE OTHERS WHO ARE TAKING EXAMS TOO!

I am in a relationship with studies and it’s complicated.

Quoted from a facebook status...

Exams are starting on Friday!! I was already numb with this anxious feeling of mine until my friends starting whatsapp-ing me about how terrified and stressed they are.
SPREAD THE ANXIETY, PEOPLE!
ok, chillax. I heard this quote on TV yesterday.
可以解决的事,不用担心。If the problem can be solved, don't worry.
不可以解决的事,担心也没用。If the problem can't be solved, no point worrying.
Here's another quote:
Easier said than done!
Hah! Anyway, I saw these questions on a forum. A student who obtained 0% for his test... lol, rejoice!

I would say this person interpret the questions in a unique way (too much common sense). LOL. And this questions probably won't come out for mine unless it's an open ended question and I have to write an essay on it. Seriously... what is the main reason for divorce?? But it's still hilarious! XD

Q1. In which battle did Napoleon die?
* his last battle

Q2. Where was the Declaration of Independence signed?
* at the bottom of the page

Q3. River Ravi flows in which state?
* liquid

Q4. What is the main reason for divorce?
* marriage

Q5. What is the main reason for failure?
* exams

Q6. What can you never eat for breakfast?
* Lunch & dinner

Q7. What looks like half an apple?
* The other half

Q8. If you throw a red stone into the blue sea what it will become?
* It will simply become wet

Q9. How can a man go eight days without sleeping ?
* No problem, he sleeps at night.

Q10. How can you lift an elephant with one hand?
 * You will never find an elephant that has only one hand.

Q11. If you had three apples and four oranges in one hand and four apples and three oranges in other hand, what would you have ?
* Very large hands

Q12. If it took eight men ten hours to build a wall, how long would it take four men to build it?
* No time at all, the wall is already built.

Q13. How can u drop a raw egg onto a concrete floor without cracking it?
*Any way you want, concrete floors are very hard to crack.

Ok, song time! I remember XN used to sing this song whenever we went to karaoke. I didn't find this song nice at that time (probably because of whose version I was listening to).  heh! just kidding.

Irony is a cruelty itself.

Just came back from tuition. :D (don't mind the title, just a sudden realisation of something and it looks chim so I put it there, lol)

Made a birthday card for my little tutee since her birthday is coming soon (28 April), and hope she likes it. XD

She and her older sister (also my tutee) are, as usual, arguing over food and stuff but in the end, they do share. HAHA. This sort of makes me wonder how would I have interact with my siblings if I had one. (‘∀’●)♡ I always wanted an older sibling to take care of me, heh. But younger siblings would be cute too, and their innocent acts can really makes you smile or... drive you nuts!

For example, while I was giving tuition to her older sister, she came and sat beside me, to read this book about jokes and riddles. She started asking us riddles so her helper came out to chase her away and told her not to disturb us. XD

Yeap, so she went away to sit on the sofa and moments later, she came back with chunks of scrap papers and passed them to me, discreetly. That little one actually wrote the riddles on the papers (with answers at the back), hahahaha (。´∀`)ノ

So I ended up reading the riddles every now and then, for short breaks.
Here are some of them:

Q. What type of facial hair does a cow have?
A. A mooooo-stache.

Q. What did the chocolate bar say to the pacifier?
A. Hello, sucker!

Q. What do you call a blind deer?
A. No eye-deer (No idea)

Oh and this is a long one.
You're a bus driver.
On the first stop, 10 people get on.
On the second stop, 3 people get off and 1 person gets on.
On the third stop, everyone gets off.
What are the colour of the bus driver's eyes?
A. The same as yours, you ARE the bus driver.

This is like a riddle war.

(just leaving a blank space here because I have no idea how to link the above sentence with the bottom one)

Doodled some stuff during tuition... lol. I shall post the pictures soon after my exams end.

Oh and almost forget, ending the post with a song... and hash tags.

I like the rap, yo.

미쳤어

I was late for Stats lecture today because I remembered the wrong timing plus, I didn't check. *faints*

On the bright side, it's a lesson learnt.

BETTER DOUBLE CHECK VENUE, DATE AND TIMING, THE DAY BEFORE EXAM.
Anyway, presenting to youuuuuu, the joke of the day.
Credits to BEL (17.04.2014 some time around 10plus?) <= if you're lurking around here, somewhere.

Q. What is an emotional chicken called?
A. emo-鸡 (emo-ji) h.a.h.a

So gonna tell that to my tutee (a counter-attack, hah!)

Found this game related to chicken too, "Guess The Emoji"

Picture Description: hand and cock
Guess The Emoji Level 16 – 7 Letters Answer: HANCOCK

If everyone were to use emoji to communicate, we would be like going back to ancient times. o.o

Oh, and nothing much... we talked about the old days when the slug's cai fan (economic rice) got attacked by a bird and she was kpkb-ing in her usual high pitch. (`Д´*)

MY RICE~~!!←~(o `▽´ )oΨ

Randomly, here's a song to end the post.

Nice song, nice-looking guy, nice voice, nice drama. (:

One of my all-time favourite songs.

TOO LAZY TO DO ANYTHING

#lazygirl #SNSD

Joke of the day (yesterday actually)

Q. Why did the pony drink some water?
A. Cause it was a little horse (hoarse).

Q. What did the teddy bear say when you offer it some chocolate?
A. No, thanks. I'm stuffed.

ψ(`∇´)ψ

Credits to my little tutee who left me speechless.  (。┰ω┰。)

Sorry, but this video is too awesome not to share.

Currently emo-ing now. Because I can't find a song to express my emo-ness, therefore I'm emo-ing. #wth? #jokeofanewday #inneedofagoodsong

A Happy Post for today...

Supposed to be studying... but I'll make this quick.

Just thought that my blog shouldn't be full of angst when I read it in future.

Let's talk about happy things.

First off, I met my secondary school maths teacher. :D Glad that we were able to talk like old friends. HAHA. OLD.

I celebrated two of my friends' birthdays although it was really exhausting and yeap, it would be a lie if I had no complaints.. that's just me. XD

My JC friend will be coming back to Singapore from Germany to meet us. Define 'excited'.

Realised some importance values I should have, earlier before... but that's just the way of growing up, I guess.

I have many plans ahead after my exams!

1. honing my Japanese and Korean language is my priority. (neglecting them way too much)
2. practicing my keyboard? Been collecting many scores but never really played them (not like I can play them well either :P)
3. KTV!!! (I'm gonna ask everyone on that!)

OK, the end. an abrupt ending.

JAWS

I was actually referring to sharks. Anyway, Chinese New Year is here and finally, I got my annual treat of a bowl of shark fin soup. I would normally devour my precious one little bowl to my heart's content but I keep seeing the anti-shark eating campaigns and some over-enthusiasts' comments. -.-

Trying to insinuate that people who eat shark fins, are great sinners and should burn in hell?!?! This is not targeted to those who don't eat sharks in order to ameliorate the declining shark's population problem, but those who thinks it's just plain INHUMANE.

DISCLAIMER: Not trying to imply that we should not reduce our consumption of shark fins, I have reduced my consumption from few times a year to 'per annum' liao. :(

Honestly, I feel that it is really really unfair to dictate what people should eat and not. I don't see Buddhists, Hindus coercing beef-lovers to stop eating beef because cows are sacred to them, Muslims being disgusted by non-Muslims who eat pork (which they deemed as dirty)?

So why do some people go around spreading propaganda about eating dogs and sharks are cruel?? There was once, I chanced upon a facebook post, 'Stop killing sharks, it's inhumane!" to which I replied, "Stop killing chicken. It's inhumane!!" My friend who is more straightforward, would say, that's just plain hypocrisy. IMO, it is not the eating or killing of sharks that is cruel (it's all part of the food chain), it's the overconsumption which drives them to extinction and of course, cutting of their fins and not finishing them off in one go, that is cruel. 要留后路 (leave a back door) for them to reproduce so we can ensure a sustainable consumption, right? Can you imagine if your predator just bit off your limbs and live you hanging there? So people, I have made my standpoint clear! So let's all reduce our consumption of shark fins! Until their population growth stabilised, at least.

And again, don't be mistaken, I love to keep a dog but there are times, I find it plain ludicrous that they can argue that dogs are man's best friend so people who eat them are inhumane and cruel... How would you know if humans are their best friend (dog language? woof!), the dogs could have just see humans as their source of food and shelter. There are cases where dogs actually attack or even eat human, alive or dead. Check this out. I totally agree with the last paragraph.
It is important to remember that love is not a characteristic of dogs. Love is a human characteristic. Dogs are domesticated wild animals who revert to their wild behavior if you are otherwise incapacitated.
I have never tasted dog's meat and probably won't get a chance to. Not sure if I would like the taste but if we could kill and eat animals like chickens, pigs, cows and ducks why not dogs? Everyone has the freedom to eat what they want, given that their rights do not interfere with others (like eating someone's pet o.o). If animal lovers can't bring themselves to eat dogs, then don't. But, please don't make unnecessary and condescending comments about those who do. And instead, you can convert to being a vegetarian then, in order to prove your 'love' for animals. Oh, AND I DEFINITELY DO NOT ADVOCATE ANIMAL CRUELTY. Once, I saw a video of a china woman peeling skin off dogs alive and still struggling. This is what I defined as cruelty!
The investigators found horrors beyond their worst imaginings and concluded, "Conditions on Chinese fur farms make a mockery of the most elementary animal welfare standards. In their lives and their unspeakable deaths, these animals have been denied even the simplest acts of kindness." Read more: http://features.peta.org/ChineseFurFarms/#ixzz2sScN4KNw

Just stumbled upon another act of cruelty... Skinned for a living versus skinned for satisfaction, which is worse?

Ok, so that's the end of my rant, once again. Just my 2 cents. My intention to record my view on worldly? affairs and look back at this blog when I'm old and probably exclaimed, "oh, what was I thinking back then?" or maybe, "Gosh, what a stubborn little girl am I!". :D

Police...

Hello, here to rant. Don't mind me, just an ignorant little kid who will go crazy if I don't vent this out. And might look at this one day in the future, probably thinking how childish I was... or maybe not.

Just watched the Channel 5 news about the Little India riot. Someone(shall not give names here)said, '...the police was disheartened by the public's criticism ...but thankful for those who gave words of encouragement(? or something that goes like that)'. Oh please, you should have seen the police commissioner's comments on this... the mob was somehow angered by the fact that the police was using shields to protect themselves??

IMO, I totally, absolutely, positively and definitely believe that THE POLICE DAMN! DO DESERVE THIS CRITICISM AND SHOULD REFLECT ON THEM WELL! Alright... at least constructive criticism BUT if you were allow me to describe the police in one word, it will be "USELESS!" I know, I know, this is an example of unconstructive criticism. And yes, I do agree very much. IF I didn't had any encounters with the police, I would probably use a more lenient term like, "ill-prepared? Inexperience?".

BUT NO, 'USELESS' is still my word. Way before the riot incident, my faith in the police has already been diminishing. I've posted about my incident here before but I deleted it since it was not a very pleasant thing to remember. And yet, gosh, I still remember. It has been embedded in my mind, brain, heart and soul, every vital organs since like forever.... (alright, exaggerations).

Ok, this is how it goes. My friend, A and I were at PR Mrt Station, on our way to school. We were kinda late and was jokingly discussing on an excuse to give. The conversation goes like this:

Me (Took a look at her hair which she cut a week ago): Hey, how about we say that you were having a haircut... so we're late. :D

A (jokingly): You're crazy arh! Later I become botak! XD

Me: HAHAHA... Botak! XD

And WHACK! Someone just hit me right in the face with a black bag. I managed to dodge it a little but it hit my right eye and left a little scratch. I looked up at the culprit, thinking that it was an accident. Nope... it wasn't. A man, twice the size of me yelled at me, 'who you calling botak!'. I was shocked and of course, felt indignant. WTFFFFF?!?!? Who the hell would be so free to insult a stranger! And pls, he had plenty of hair (not sure about now...)I wanted to explain but he looked like he was ready to kill... So I took my out my phone, wanting to take a picture of him as he walked into the MRT station but I was quite wary of his abnormal behaviour, didn't managed to in the end. (Hi, I was just 15 years old then and he's as big as a hippopotamus!)

Anyway, the main point is here. I went to the polyclinic with my friend and the reception told me that since I was assaulted, I had to report this to the police first which was nearby (same building). I waited at the station for about half an hour (?), my dad arrived later on, told me that he called the MRT to request for the CCTV tape so that I could identify the man who hit me. However, the MRT person insisted that we will have to go and borrow WITH THE AUTHORITY OF THE POLICE.

Fine... so I reported the accident to the skinny-looking policeman... Sergeant WONG (I forgot the rest of his name) I sat there, staring at his name tag for god knows how long... I told him the man was in his 30s to 40s. Everything was ok until he made the THREE phone calls:
1st call: ...the man is about 30s to 40s
(Somehow, somewhere in my bones, I was expecting this to happen...)

2nd call: ...the man is about 40 years old

(So they say... broken telephone lines)

3rd call: ...the man is 45 years old! (WOW!)

And hoho! He finished the calls, typed in some words and told us, it's done, you can go home now. I was like huh? my dad mentioned to him before that I (My friend too!) was able to recognize the man from the MRT CCTV tape. And he replied, "oh! if you see that man again, call the police..."

Ok, I was pissed, quite pissed. I shot back, to which he had no reply, "so...I'm supposed to catch him, then call the police or bring him here to save you the trouble then." My dad was super pissed, I think he felt very buay song (unsatisfied with that ah wong's attitude). He further emphasised the fact that we can view the CCTV tape, only with the police's authority. Expectedly, it was fallen on deaf ears.

SO yup, this has resulted in my (biased)impression of the police since it does not represent the entire police force. To counter this, I would say... if a minor neighbourhood police watch can't even provide the proper and necessary security to the public, what is there to say about the rest... I mean... that hippopotamus could have attack me with a black knife and not just a black bag, you know! The fact that I was wrongly assaulted for something I have not done is truly agonising for me and that the policeman didn't even bother to lift a finger to help (oh, he did... to type the report).

Another incident was a theft which occurred in my school. Some students' bag were ransacked and thrown across the field. The POLICE suspected that it was an insider's job because they couldn't find any forced entry into the school. They searched the school, kept us up till 2 a.m. and came up with... Nothing! Huala! The next morning, I heard news about some of the students found a hole in the fence. What a joke, isn't it? All those trouble for nothing.

There may be good policemen, I guess... but so far... haven't encounter any. (damn suay) And there are many other ugly stories I heard from friends and relatives about the police. Come on people, if the police was so efficient, there will be more good stories about them instead of people badmouthing them, right? ok, maybe my world is too small so it only consists of all the baddies in the police force. sobz :( I shall try to find dig out more nice ones about them.

And one more thing, to those people countering the complains about the explosion of police car is a waste of taxpayers' money, stating how little of our taxes go into the police car... Sorry la, I feel poor so I am more stingy, not like those wealthy people (not all arh), ten thousand dollars also can burn like paper money. I don't even have a car for my job but the police has, COE is very expensive lei. To me, 10 cents is like 10 dollar to me. T.T

And those guys who got deported back, who didn't have to compensate for the damages. I think the punishment was too easy and too harsh on them at the same time. They are just here for a living but was faced with many unpleasant circumstances. They should have been made to help clear the damages they've caused and, be treated and educated properly. Give them a chance to continue working here or something. I don't know... my opinions based on second hand information are not reliable (thank you, thank you)

Also, if the police was ill-prepared for a riot because it hardly occurred... what about war?... All I have the police now is... TOUGHEN UP YO! GO OVERSEAS FOR TRAINING! I won't mind if taxes are paid for a good cause.
